Sources and timing
Market observations come from Yahoo Finance, with configured FRED fallbacks for supported series. News research uses configured feeds and public sources including the Federal Reserve, BLS, BEA and SEC. Sources differ by edition; the cited source list and each observation time are authoritative for that edition. Quotes may be delayed.
Edition dates use New York time. Futures trade outside the cash-equity session. VIX and Treasury observations may refer to a prior session, including before weekends and holidays; they should not be read as synchronized with overnight futures.
Automation, AI and editorial responsibility
Software collects sources, selects candidate stories, assembles explanations and runs numerical, structural and editorial checks. AI coding tools help build and maintain the system. The automated workflow does not imply a human editor approved each issue, and no independent human fact-check is guaranteed. We do not describe software checks as human review.
When full analysis fails its checks, a separately labeled data-only edition can publish validated observations without causal explanations, a market-mood score or generic filler.
Publication and email
Our publication target is before 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on U.S. trading days. Cloud attempts start earlier and retry; infrastructure delays and source outages can cause a missed target. The archive records what actually shipped, and missing-edition monitoring alerts the repository owner. We do not backfill fictional daily editions.
Newsletter signup is free and subscribers can unsubscribe. Site publication and email delivery are separate processes; signup does not guarantee an email at an exact time.
Corrections and limitations
Material corrections are labeled. Original source files or revisions are retained. A stored timestamp can be reformatted for readers without changing the underlying observation. Consensus estimates and prior values are marked unavailable when no verified source supports them.
